Who tell you?

My mother often says that I am a useless person because when I encounter difficults, I do not face them and just run away. How do I run away? Before, I seldom turned in my homework.I didn't do my homework if the homework was too hard or too troublesome for me. I didn't care if I will fail. "That's not my bussiness." I often thought in that way. Also,I often cut class because I hated some teachers or subjects. My mother often say that even if you don't like to do something, you still have to do if they are your responsibilities. Honest to say, I really don't like this suggestion. I really don't understand why going to school, doing homework and geting high scores are responsibilities of people. Who ever tell people that? Who?

Since you asked, I'll respond myself.
Applying to a school and then accepting their invitation to study there is a promise to the school: a decision that you will play the part of a student if you wish to be one. That means that going to school, doing homework, and trying to get high scores are indeed your responsibility, and if you don't do these things the school has no responsibility to give you a degree. If you don't wish to do student-related stuff, you are free to quit school and be a McDonalds burger flipper or a gas station attendant. Actually rich people in Taiwan are mostly uneducated people, so there are many ways to be financially successful. Just choose what you want to do.

Your title would be better as "Who told you?" or "Who tells you so?"
Be careful about word forms; there is no word "difficults;" the word is a plural noun, "difficulties."
How can you have a sentence like "I didn't care if I will fail." Half is past and half is future!
"My mother often says. . ."

One responsibility as an English major is to learn English well enough to avoid these mistakes. It is not OK for students who make such mistakes to get a diploma from a university, so just choose what you really want; don't remain a student without doing a student's job.
My advice--take it or leave it.

I should also point out that just being uneducated is no sure way of becoming rich; most poor people are similarly uneducated.
